What do we believe in and can we imagine a life without faith? Does faith have to be related to religion? How to pose questions about meaning and how to dare to define it independently from ready ideologies and doctrines? Where do artists and philosophers look for answers? What connects faith with taking risks and with freedom? Can faith be also a deliberate gesture of expression in relation to the social and political reality?

We invite you to a cycle of discussions hosted by a Dominican friar, Father Tomasz Dostatni. Every month from October 2017 until May 2018 we will be meeting at Malta Foundation with artists, philosophers and clergymen. Guests will include Olga Tokarczuk, Agnieszka Holland, Father Adam Boniecki and Zenon Laskowik.

The debates constitute an introduction to the Leap of Faith Idiom, which will be the leading theme of Malta Festival Poznań 2018. The program will be prepared by Grace Ellen Barkey, Jan Lauwers and Maarten Seghers from the Belgian collective Needcompany.
