  • A performance verging on a theatrical dance and multimedia installation. It tells the story of a person who has been waiting for years for permission to start a new life; a person whose fate is governed by ever-changing regulations and directives. No longer in the headlines, makeshift camps still exist. Set up “just for now,” they have become a permanent feature of the European landscape. The script is based on WhatsApp correspondence between volunteers at Opatovac in the autumn of 2015. Director: Alicja Borkowska.

    Human Mic

The human microphone is a method to “amplify” demonstrations, as popularised by Occupy Wall Street. One person speaks, and those around them repeat the words. The voice is carried in waves into the crowd. During the Festival, and without becoming undemocratic, we will reverse the course of this process. An individual will recount collective experiences: stories of walls and borders from different parts of the world. Personal stories will be made public.

Idea: Zofia Nierodzińska, Joanna Pańczak, Agnieszka Różyńska.
