The Coffin Portrait. The play focuses on contempt. The curator of a trendy gallery visits his family home. His parents, brother, sister-in-law and their children all appear as characters from a horror story. The horror story ambience is also built by the language of the play, whose main character is obsessed with death and murders his family in the finale. The music which marks the show’s rhythm is composed by the band Nagrobki (Gravestones). Michał Kmiecik is a director, playwright and dramaturge. His first play Kto zabił Alonę Iwanowną? (Who Killed Alyona Ivanovna?) was staged in Teatr Dramatyczny in Warsaw.
